This updated statue depicts Sassy sitting cross-legged Buddha pose with his hands resting on his knees, having just sparked up a fresh doobskin (held in place by a hidden magnet). He’s clearly ready to launch into one of his legendary yarns — maybe even the classic tale told Nigel about the dinosaurs — with that familiar glint in his eye and his trademark mellow energy.

Like all my work, the original model was sculpted by hand in clay before being moulded in silicone. Each piece is then cast in Jesmonite — a durable, eco-friendly material perfect for capturing fine details — and finished with airbrushed and hand-painted layers to bring Sassy to life. The doobskin accessory attaches magnetically, so it can be removed or repositioned without damaging the statue.
