Donny the Dealer – Handcrafted Statue (V2.0)

Inspired by The Big Lez Show

Introducing my handcrafted statue of Donny the Dealer, a key character from The Big Lez Show, the cult Australian cartoon created by Jarrad Wright.

This detailed sculpture captures Donny in a classic moment—holding a bong and exhaling with his signature “waaaaahhhhh” expression. He’s wearing his iconic bandana with an LSD tab tucked underneath, a nod to Jimi Hendrix and Donny’s own explanation that it helps him get “in the zone” when fighting Choomahs.

Donny is known for his heavy drug use and his role in the chaotic adventures of Brown Town. As the owner of Donny’s Shop, he deals in weapons, drugs, and all kinds of unusual items. He’s also no stranger to rifles and plasma guns, often using unconventional tactics to get out of trouble. This statue captures his laid-back but battle-ready energy—depicting him just after ripping a bong and letting out his classic expression.

Despite his relaxed attitude, Donny proves time and time again that he’s a fierce fighter and loyal ally. During the Battle for Brown Town, he plays an important role in defending the town from the Choomahs using his weapon expertise and quick thinking. This statue celebrates Donny’s unique character—calm, chaotic, and always ready for action.

Version 2.0 – Updated Sculpt

This is Version 2.0 of the sculpture, featuring an updated and refined sculpt.

To improve the original design, I reworked the master sculpture by re-pouring in polymer clay using the original silicone mould. This allowed me to refine proportions, sharpen details, and enhance the overall style before creating a brand new mould for production.

The result is a more detailed, expressive, and polished version of the original statue while staying true to the character fans know and love.

Hand-Sculpted and Made with Jesmonite

Each statue begins as a hand-sculpted clay original, carefully shaped to capture Donny’s pose and expression.

Once complete, I create a silicone mould and cast the statues in Jesmonite, a durable and eco-friendly composite material. Every piece is then hand-painted and airbrushed, ensuring vibrant colours and unique detailing that bring the character to life.
